Project Staff


The managing members of the project team represent the principal harpist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, an experienced video producer and editor will manage the video production, and a PHD ethnomusicologist to design some of the historical information All individuals have worked in their respective industries for many years.

VIDEO PRODUCTION

Susan Dangel
Producer and Emmy nominated television producer of cultural programming for more than twenty-five years. She is the longtime producer of the award winning EVENING AT POPS. She is also the producer of several documentaries about musicians including Ann Hobson Pilot: A Musical Journey I. Her recent half-hour documentary on James Levine for CBS Boston was nominated for a 2005 New England Emmy.

EDUCATION CONSULTANT

James K. Makubuya
PHD Associate Professor of Music, Music Department, Wabash College, Crawfordsville, IN. a Ugandan-born ethnomusicologist, instrumentalist, singer, dancer, and choreographer who plays several traditional instruments from various parts of Uganda He holds a B.A. in music and English literature from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda (1980); a Master of Music degree in Western music and music education from Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. (1988), and a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from the University of California, Los Angeles (1995).

PROJECT COORDINATION

Harriet McCreary
Project Coordinator, is responsible for overseeing the project, verifying all grant funded conditions are met and attending all required meetings. Previous senior technical design specialist Lucent Technologies and AT&T responsible for federal government bid response, system and network installation, project management and training, 15 years. Collaborated on the video “Ann Hobson Pilot, a Musical Journey I”
